Segmentation Fault

This piece uses a sophisticated sequencer to produce some very sonically interesting effects. Duration is variable, usually about 11 minutes. The patch generates live 3D graphics that respond to the audio.

Poème symphonique

A reimagining of Györy Ligeti's famous piece for 100 metronomes in Max/MSP. Here each metronome corresponds to a colorful sphere in outer space. When the metronome ticks, the sphere blinks momentarily. As the metronomes slow down, the balls come to rest one by one. You can watch it on YouTube here.

Grésil

Here I sample sound from the electric violin, twist and distort it in many ways, and create a kind of effect that seems to me like an experience I once had in Colorado of a hailstorm. You can view it on YouTube here.
